 John Grennan with the Poweshiek County Democratic Party recently announced that Donna Winburn was the recipient of the Poweshiek County Democrats Distinguished Service Award, which was presented during the Central Committee meeting on Tuesday, July 28.
“Donna's dedication to the Democratic Party over the decades has been fierce and unwavering,” noted Grennan. “As a candidate for office, a treasurer, and someone who pitches in whenever the Democrats need a hand, Donna has kept the local party going through the good times and the hard times. She's someone who is always making sure that farmers, workers, and future generations are getting a fair shake from our leaders. Thanks also to Donna's good friend, John Norris, for being there to present Donna with this award. As Norris said, "When Donna talks, everyone listens. We always learn something important when we do.”
