National Vice Commander to visit Deep River American Legion Post 296

   American Legion, National Vice Commander, Bruce C. Feuerbach, will be touring Iowa, Nov. 16 -21.
   The first stop for Feuerbach is the Deep River American Legion Post 296 on Monday, Nov. 16 from 9:30 – 11 a.m.
   This event is open to the public. This is the time to make the Deep River community and Legion shine.
  Feuerbach is an honorary life member of the Merkel-Bockholt Post 107 in Keystone, Iowa. He became eligible for The American Legion by serving in the U.S. Army from January 1967 to November 1969. After basic training and advanced infantry training, Feuerbach served in Germany for 16 months, then for one year in Vietnam before being honorably discharged.
   Feuerbach has held the position of post commander, county commander, district commander, department (state) commander, and served as Alternate National Executive Committeeman and National Executive Committeeman. Feuerbach is a charter member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 217 in Atkins, Iowa. He served on many committees on all levels of The American Legion to include National Americanism Council Member, National Resolution Assignment Committee, National Legislative Commission and the National Security Commission.
    Feuerbach is married to Velda and they have three children, one of which is deceased.
  Department of Iowa Commander, James Kessler, National Executive Committeeman, Jerry Sebben, Alt Executive Committeeman, Dennis Soppe, and Department Membership Chair, Don Swan, will be traveling with the Vice Commander.
