Members of the Montezuma High School FFA Chapter participated in the 2022 Southeast FFA District Convention on Saturday, March 12 at Pekin, advancing two teams to state competition.
The Conduct of Meetings team placed first at districts to advance to state. Team members are Ellen Cook, Emily Jo James, Elizabeth De Jong, Bryson Stockman, Addyson Probasco, Kylee Larmore, and Taya Sincox.
Experience the Action placed second at districts and also advanced to state competition. Team members are Sam Bos, Madison Cheney, Ashlee Eilander, Laila Kercheval, and Jordan Ranfeld.
The eighth grade Ag Impact Team placed third at districts and are alternates for state. Team members are Brady Boulton, Krista Cheney, Claire Erselius, Luke Erselius, Broox Stockman, and Peyton Tindle.
The seventh grade Ag CSI Team placed third at districts and are alternates for state. Team members are Sydnee Burgess, Vivian Cook, Analeece Kercheval, Rett Pargeon, Gracie Wilson, and Rylee Wolford.
“We are so proud of our junior high members who competed as well,” noted Montezuma FFA teacher Hannah Garland. “Both Ag CSI and Ag Impact finished third and were just one place away from advancing to state.”
