The Montezuma Braves first round playoff game against the Iowa Valley Tigers kept fans on both sides of the ball on the edge of their seats to the last seconds of the game. The Braves were up 41-26 and looked in command, when the Tigers scored a touchdown, then later recovered a fumble for a score and two-point play to go ahead, 42-41. With 1:06 left on the clock, the Braves took the ball to around midfield where Owen Cook hit a 46-yard field goal to put the Braves in the winner's bracket, 44-42. The Braves will play Easton Valley, who beat BGM to advance, in second round action at Badger-Gabriel Football Field on Friday, Oct. 28. Game time is 7 p.m.
