Montezuma Braves come close in loss to Eddyville-Blakesburg in non-conference game on Feb. 4

Montezuma's Eddie Burgess hits the deck hard after going to the basketball hoop in a non-conference game against Eddyville-Blakesburg on Friday, Feb. 4. The Braves lost the game, 78-67. The Braves finished the regular season as SICL Conference Champs with a 14-2 record in the SICL and a14-4 record overall. The Braves open district play at home against Pekin on Monday, Feb. 14. Game time is 7 p.m. The winner will travel to WACO on Thursday, Feb. 17.
