For generations, families have enjoyed summer evenings on the courthouse lawn in downtown Montezuma.
The Montezuma Community Boosters hope to continue and enrich that tradition with the new Montezuma Booster Bash this summer. To complement the already thriving Summer Nights on the Square hosted by the Montezuma Ministerial Society, the Montezuma Booster Bash promises to be a fun, family event promoting local commerce and a sense of community. The events will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of each month. Events are scheduled for June 24, July 22, and Aug. 26, and will be located on the East and South sides of the square in Montezuma. Montezuma Booster Bash will be fun for all ages, with tournaments, activities, and contests in the works. Have an activity or entertainment in mind? Let us know, we’d love to partner with you. The Montezuma Community Boosters are looking for vendors who would like to sell their products (food vendors, garden produce, arts and crafts, home businesses, etc.) or promote their services. Civic groups and government entities are welcome to exhibit, as well. Vendors and exhibitors will be given a two-parking space area. Vendor set-up will be free of charge, with a $50 deposit (refunded with participation) to reserve your spot. Non-registered vendors and exhibitors are welcome. If you are a local business, artisan, or organization and would like more information, email [email protected] or contact Loren Elliott (phone/text 319-244-8737) or Deb VerMeer (phone 641-623-2177) Summer is a wonderful time to get together and celebrate. Come join us on the square this summer for Montezuma Booster Bash.
