Military care package supplies sought

   County Bank and the Deep River American Legion Auxiliary will be assembling care packages next month for active duty service men and women from the area and your help is needed.
   The event will take place at the Legion Hall in Deep River on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Donations of the following items are needed. They include: Snacks - Single Serve Size, Cheese/PB Crackers, Gum, Cookies, Coffee, Candy, Sunflower Seeds, Beef Jerky, Popcorn, Trail Mix, Chips, Powdered Drink Mix, Deck of Cards, Ink Pens, Letter Writing Supplies, Small Notebooks, Towels, Wash Clothes, Hand/Foot Warmers, Crossword Puzzles, Word Searches, Sukoku Puzzles, Travel Size Board Games, Dr. Schols Gel Inserts, Toothbrushes/Paste, Travel Size Toiletries, Wet Wipes, Foot Powder/Talc Powder, Sunscreen, Q-Tips, Nail Clippers, Chap Stick, Socks, Emery Boards, Non-Liquid Air Fresheners. Please, no liquid items.
    Please drop items off at County Bank in Deep River during the month of September.
  “County Bank is excited to work with the American Legion Auxiliary again this year to get these care packages out to the deserving men and women who dutifully serve our country,” noted a bank representative. “Thanks for helping us support this great cause!”
   “Part of our mission as an Auxiliary unit is to support our military at home and abroad,” said Jacki Bolen, Deep River Auxiliary member and Montezuma Mayor. “Teaming up with County Bank worked so well last year and we are so thankful for their support in this project.”
   The care packages are expected to arrive in time for the holidays.
