Bravettes improve to 9-0 in non-conference win at Earlham on Friday, Jan. 3
   Following a short Christmas break, the no. 1 Montezuma Bravettes improved to 9-0 with a decisive, 53-28, win over the Earlham Cardinals in a non-conference matchup for both teams. The game was played at Earlham on Friday, Jan. 3
    Shateah Wetering led all scorers with 20-points including one 3-pointer on 7-17 shooting. She finished with 4 rebounds, 4 assists and stole the ball once. Elise Boulton followed with 10-points including two 3-pointers. Elise finished with 4 rebounds, 2 assists and stole the ball once. 
    Shanae Wetering finished the game with 9-points on 4-5 shooting. Mia Boulton added 3-points and Kierstyn Price, Carissa VanZee, Madison Johannes, Dylan Holland and Madelyn DeJong all finished with 2-points each. Korrinn Kehoe had one free throw in the win.
 
Bravettes take down Sigourney, 67-35, to wrap up 2019 portion of the season
    The Montezuma Bravettes wrapped up the 2019 portion of the season with a 67-35 win over the then no. 7 Sigourney Savages in SICL Conference play at Montezuma on Thursday, Dec. 19.
   Shateah Wetering led all scorers with 23-points on 10-15 shooting, including one 3-pointer. She finished with 9 rebounds, 4 assists and stole the ball four times and had one blocked shot. Elise Boulton added 10-points including two 3-pointers on 4-9 shooting. Her sister, Mia, added 9-points, all 3-pointers on 3-4 shooting. Elise finished with 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocked shots.
   Dylan Holland chipped in 10-points on 5-10 shooting. Carissa VanZee finished with 6-points and Shelby Conger added 4-points. Madelyn DeJong and Shanae Wetering each added 2-points to the total score.
 
Bravettes keep rolling with 79-47 home win over Lynnville-Sully
   The Lynnville-Sully Hawks hung tough in the first quarter, but the Montezuma Bravettes proved to be too much down the stretch as they cruised to a 79-47 win at home on Dec. 17.
   Shateah Wetering again led all scorers with 32-points on 11-19 shooting, including three 3-pointers. She finished with 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals.  Elise Boulton finished with 9-points, including two 3-pointers. She had 3 steals in the game. Mia Boulton, Shanae Wetering and Maddy McKeag all had 8-points each in the game. McKeag also had 3 steals. Shelby Conger finished with 6-points. Carrisa VanZee and Dylan Holland each had 4-points each to wrap up scoring.
 
The Bravettes take down BGM, 78-43, in SICL conference play
   The Bravettes hit the road for only the third time this season, taking down neighboring BGM, 78-43, at Brooklyn on Friday, Dec. 13.
   Shateah Wetering continued her winning ways with 23-points on 9-20 shooting, including five 3-pointers made. She finished with 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocked shots. Elise Boulton added 11-points, including three 3-pointers on 4-11 shooting. She finished with 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Shanae Wetering and Dylan Holland finished the game wirh 10-points each. Shanae was 3-3 shooting and Dylan was 5-5 shooting. Shelby Conger finished with 8-points, while Waverly Roorda finished with 4-points. Maddy McKeag and Mia Boulton each had 3-points. Carrisa VanZee and Madelyn DeJong chipped in 2-points each.
 
Bravettes take down HLV Warriors, 79-13, at home 
   HLV proved to be no match for the Bravettes as they took down the Warriors, 79-13, in keeping their winning recording going. The SICL Conference game between both schools was played at Montezuma on Tuesday, Dec.10
   Shateah Wetering led all scorers with 20-points on 9-17 shooting, including two 3-pointers. Shateah finished with 9 rebounds, 5 assists and stole the ball 8 times in the game. Elise Boulton added 14-points on 5-12 shooting, including four 3-pointers. She had 3 rebounds, 2 assists and stole the ball once. Dylan Holland finished with 11-points on 5-5 shooting while Shanae Wetering wrapped up the game with 10-points on 3-5 shooting. Maddy McKeag finished with 6-points while Madelyn DeJong added 4-points. Mia Boulton and Shelby Conger each had 3-points. Carissa VanZee finished the game with 4 steals.
