Braves finish off Sigourney, 64-28, improve to 6-0 on the season
   The trio of Trey Shearer, Eddie Burgess and Cole Watts combined for 43-points in a 64-28 home win over the Sigourney Savages on Thursday, Dec. 19. The Braves are now 6-0 heading into the 2020 portion of the season.
   Trey finished the game on 8-10 shooting, 3 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot. Eddie finished with 7-9 shooting, including one 3-pointer, 13 rebounds, 1 assist and he stole the ball once. Cole finished the game on 4-10 shooting, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 1 blocked shot and he stole the ball once. 
  Brayden Arendt finished with 9-points on 4-4 shooting, including one 3-pointer made. Masin Shearer finished with 7-points on 3-7 shooting, including one 3-pointer. Joey Kercheval added 3-points and Maguire DeJong finished with 2-points.
 
Braves take care of business in, 77-40, home win over Lynnville-Sully
  The Lynnville-Sully Hawks proved to be no match for the Montezuma Braves in a 77-40 home win on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
   Masin Shearer went 6-6 from the 3-point line, finishing with 24-points on 8-10 shooting to led all Braves in the scoring department. His older brother, Trey, finished close behind with 21-points on 10-13 shooting, including one 3-pointer. Trey had 11 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 stolen ball and 1 blocked shot in the game.
Cole Watts added 12-points on 5-10 shooting, including two 3-ponters. He finished with 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 blocked shot. Eddie Burgess finished with 8-points on 4-6 shooting. He had 4 rebounds, 1 assist, stole the ball twice and had 1 blocked shot in the game. Brayden Arendt finished with 5-points on 2-7 shooting, including one 3-pointer.
   Joey Kercheval had one 3-pointer in the game while Colton Benson and Brody Chidester finished the game with 2-points each.

   Trey Shearer scored 41-points to lead the Montezuma Braves in a 73-52 win over the BGM Bears in an SICL Conference road game at Brooklyn on Friday, Dec. 13.
   Trey was 15-21 shooting, including three 3-pointers, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and stole the ball 3 times. Cole Watts finished the game with 14-points on 4-12 shooting, including one 3-point shot. He had 8 rebounds, 4 assists and stole the ball once. Masin Shearer finished with 10-points on 4-8 shooting, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and stole the ball 3 times. Eddie Burgess wrapped the Braves scoring with 8-points on 4-7 shooting, 14 rebounds, stole the ball once and had 3 blocked shots in the game.       
 
Shearer and Watts combine for 47-points in home win over HLV
   Trey Shearer and Cole Watts combine for 47-points to lead the Braves over HLV, 78-42, at home on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
   Trey led all scorers with 27-points on 10-17 shooting, including two 3-pointers. He finished the game with 3 rebounds, 6 assists, and stole the ball 5 times. Cole hit five 3-pointers in a 20-point scoring effort. He had 2 rebounds, 4 assists, stole the ball 3 times and finished with 1 blocked shots. Eddie Burgess finished the game with 9-points on 4-7 shooting, including one 3-pointer. He had 7 rebounds, 2 assists, stole the ball once and blocked it once.
   Gavin Strong finished with 3-pionts while Brydon Henning and Brody Chidester each had 2 points to help the Braves cause. Brayden Arendt finished the game with 1-point.
