It’s time to dig out your spooky costumes, grab a bag for treats and head on down to your favorite town, or all the towns, for some frightening family fun. Following is a list of Trick-or-Treat and Trunk-or-Treat events coming up around Poweshiek County:
Trick-or-Treat Night is Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 5 – 7 p.m.
Trunk-or-Treat at Brooklyn’s Grace United Methodist Church, north parking lot, 603 Clay St. on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 5 – 7 p.m.
Trunk-or-Treat/Trick-or-Treat is Saturday, Oct. 28 from 5 – 7 p.m. Stop at the American Legion and grab a walking taco for a freewill donation. Dine in or take it with you. Serving starts at 4 p.m.
Trunk-or-Treat is being held at Ahrens Park parking lot on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 9 – 11 a.m. Stop and have your picture taken with your favorite ghostly characters. Please bring canned food items.
Trick-or-Treat Night around town is Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 6 – 8 p.m.
The City of Malcom is holding various family fun events for Halloween.
Malcom’s 3rd Annual Haunted Park is slated for Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28 from 7 – 10 p.m., both nights at the Malcom City Park. The cost is $5.
Chili, hot dogs, chips and cookies will be served from 5 – 10 p.m. both nights at the Malcom Auditorium for a free will donation. Proceeds from food sales will go to the Malcom Food Pantry.
Trunk-or-Treat will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Malcom City Park. The event is free to the public.
Citywide Trick-or-Treat is slated for Saturday, Oct. 28 from 5 – 7 p.m.
Montezuma is hosting two citywide events on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 5 – 7 p.m.
Trunk-or-Treat on the Montezuma Square and Trick-or-Treat around town. Anyone inviting trick or treaters to their home should leave a light on.
Montezuma Specialty Care is hosting a Trunk-or-Treat on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 4 – 5:30 p.m. The care center is located at 316 Meadow Lane Drive.
