New York Times bestselling author, Tracey Garvis Graves, will be headlining the 2019 All-Iowa Writers’ Conference this Saturday, September 21 at the Drake Community Library in Grinnell. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the conference runs from 9-4. You can register at the door. The cost is only $40 and that includes lunch. There will be several chances to win door prizes, including the grand prize of a Kindle.
Tracey is the author of On the Island, which spent nine weeks on the New York Times bestseller list and is in development with MGM for a feature film. Joining Tracey will be young adult author, Maggie Ann Martin. Based in Des Moines, Maggie is the author of To Be Honest and The Big F. Coming back for the tenth anniversary of the All-Iowa Writers’ Conference is Mary Lee Ashford, who writes the Sugar and Spice series for Kensington Books. Mary Lee is also half of the writing team Sparkle Abbey, who writes the Pampered Pet series. She is the founding president of Sisters in Crime–Iowa chapter. Joining Mary Lee will be Newton author, Marci Bolden, whose latest book, A Life Without Water, was released on August 13. She is also the author of the Stonehill Series. Cedar Rapids-based science fiction author, M.L. Williams, will also be presenting at this year’s conference. And special guest, Grinnell Police Captain Zachary Sittig, will address attendees on police procedure to help make their fiction writing more authentic.
