Wyatt Grimm, 13, who will enter the eighth grade at Montezuma in the fall, was invited to shoot at the National SASP (Shooting Action Sporting Program) competition in Marengo, Ohio this summer.
Joining Grimm at the shoot was Montezuma Shooting Sports Coach Larry Weeks, who worked with Wyatt this summer, along with Montezuma Shooting Sports Coach Loren Sanders.
Grimm competed on Tuesday, July 12, and placed third in the Intermediate Advance Men-Centerfire Division.
When asked about the experience, Grimm said, "It was fun setting a new personal best time of 1.94 seconds during the Go Fast round."
This is Grimm’s first year to compete in the pistol division and third year to compete in the shotgun division with the Montezuma Shooting Sports Program.
Grimm is the son of Jeff and Christine Grimm of North English.
