There were lots of smiles and Ho, Ho, Hos at the Montezuma Memorial Hall during Santa and Mrs. Claus’ visit to town on Saturday, Dec. 6.
Santa’s visit was part of the festivities surrounding the annual Hometown Holiday activities that included a breakfast of pancakes, sausages, eggs and drinks served by the Montezuma Country Club and an evening meal served by DECCA. The event also included pictures with Santa, horse-drawn carriage rides as the snow fell, a Christmas tree decorating contest, Holiday Lights Aglow Tour, Kids Bingo and more.
“We had approximately 300 adults and kids at the breakfast and to visit Santa,” said Sheryl Freeborn, country club treasure and breakfast chair person. “The country club is grateful that the community development continues to ask us to be a part of the Hometown Holiday. We thank the community for coming. It would not be a success without the community support.”
