Montezuma FFA Chapter selects officers, hands out scholarships

        The Montezuma FFA Chapter named the 2025 - 26 officers at the chapter's annual banquet on Sunday, April 27.        Mia Boulton was honored with the Blue & Gold Award for her contributions to the Montezuma FFA Chapter program. Mia is shown with FFA Advisor Hannah Garland.

      Elizabeth DeJong was the recipient of the Evans FFA Scholarship presented by Roger and Deb (Evans) Iverson.

      Four Montezuma FFA Chapter members and graduating seniors were the recipients of the Circle-U Ag Scholarship presented by the Jim and Gina Urfer family.       Each year the Montezuma FFA Chapter honors a Chapter Mom, Chapter Dad and Chapter Parents who have contributed greatly to the success of the program.       Olivia Latcham was the recipient of the Star Greenhand honor at the 2025 annual Montezuma FFA Chapter banquet on April 27.  Alyssa is shown with FFA Advisor Hannah Garland.

      Bryson Stockman was the recipient of the Rempp FFA Scholarship. Shown with Bryson are Kevin and Terri Rempp, sponsors of the scholarship.

      Madison Cheney was the recipient of the Kara Meyer Scholarship presented by Jason and Jodi Meyer and their son, Jacob, in honor of their late daughter, Kara, who passed away in a farm accident. Madison also received the Snook Scholarship and along with the Circle-U Scholarship and a scholarship from the Montezuma FFA Chapter.

    Ellen Cook was the recipient of the Poweshiek County Soil & Water Conservation District Scholarship presented by Zach Van Arkel.
