Highway Brew coffee house now open

        Dreams do come true, just ask Tiffanny Taylor of Montezuma.
       Taylor, the new owner of Highway Brew, formerly Road Trip Coffee Co., is excited to own her own business, especially one centered around something she is passionate about.
      “I wanted a business that not only reflects my interest, but also allows me to be creative and involved in the community as well as build meaningful connections with the people around me,” noted Taylor.
        The drive through coffee house at 100 S. 2nd St., was opened two years ago by Juli Stanford and Dave Bral of Montezuma.
       The couple decided to sell the business to pursue other interests. Taylor said she heard that Stanford and Bral were looking to sell the business earlier this year.
         “I started having discussion about owning the business from the previous owners in February,” said Taylor. “I initiated the process of purchasing the business in the beginning of March. In April, prior to the purchase, I had already started training for the new role.”
        The purchase was announced in late April of this year with a ribbon cutting and opening date of May 20.
          Taylor said her primary goal is to keep the business stable and continue providing the same great experience and recipes customers have come to know and love from Road Trip Coffee Co.
        “Gradually, I have been introducing new drink selections, personal touches and soon – new pastries will be available,” said Taylor.
          The business is open Monday – Friday from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m.- 12 p.m.
          Customers can drive through or enjoy a coffee or yummy drink on the business patio. Some of the new drinks include Cookie Butter Shaken Espresso, Midnight Beach Cold Brew, Miami Vice Smoothie and Smore’s Frappe. Also new is Highway Brew Beach Bonfire Breve, a dreamy blend of toasted marshmallow, white chocolate, coconut and chocolate drizzle topped with toasted marshmallow cold foam.
         There are many sugar free offerings along with a variety of coffees from Beach Babe to Banana Split and Toasty Island to Frappes such as Summer Monkey. Lotus drinks available include Peach Ring and Pineapple Upside Down drinks. Signature lemonades include Blue Lagoon, Pink Flamingo and Sunset Surge. Drinks come iced or blended in sizes 12, 20, 24 and 32 ounce.
            New drinks are on the horizon, so check the menu often or stop by and try one.
        When asked what she enjoys the most about owning the business, Taylor said having the freedom to be creative and the opportunity to be involved in the community she calls home.
           “Owning a business has given me the opportunity to show my children the value of hard work, perseverance, and following your dreams,” said Taylor. “Being able to set this example for them and show them what is possible through having faith and working hard is the most rewarding part of this journey.”
          “Highway Brew is more than just a coffee shop – it’s a place where I get to meet neighbors, support our community, and be a part of people’s everyday lives,” added Taylor. “Building something that brings people together is important to me.”
          Taylor is the mother of three boys - Bentley Warden, and Rylan and Reid Robinson, all who attend Montezuma Community School.
         “I come from a family that heavily supports the community in many ways,” said Taylor.
        Her parents, Bobby and Kasie Taylor, own Taylor Auto Body in Montezuma along with a lawn care business. Her sister, Alexa Jack, owns Zuma Zoo Daycare in Montezuma, and her other sister, Kylee Gibson, works at Montezuma Dental Clinic.
