“The Charitable Sisterhood of the Second Trinity Victory Church" by Bo Wilson, captures the inner workings of a small southern town through the lens of the women who volunteer at a local church. This is a cleverly written play with a humorously distinctive message about community, found family, good and evil, hypocrisy and love. As the rain falls and the roads flood, five women come together to sort through donations for flood victims in Guatemala, but as the day goes on stories are told and secrets are revealed...
The play is under the direction of Brian Mitchell of Grinnell, a seasoned director and play writer.
Actors:
Lorraine – Melissa Breeden; Janet – Molly Clayton; Riley – Abby Smith; Bea – Rachel Lakose; Tina – Jennie Flinspach; Radio Announcer – Harold Wheeler.
“It’s a very funny play that I have directed before in 2019 at our church,” noted Mitchell. “It is kind of a feel good story about people coming together to do good things. It is very family-friendly and I believe that people will take something away from the production.”
