Join Team Renfrow and the Grinnell Historical Museum for a Cemetery Walk at Hazelwood Cemetery on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 1 – 4 p.m.
The theme of this year’s cemetery walk is “African American Stories in Early Grinnell.” The stories that will be shared are of Edward Delaney, George and Eva Craig, Eva Pearl, and Mumford Holland. It will take visitors appropriately 50-minutes to hear all five stories. Team Renfrow is made up of Professor Tamara Beauboeuf, Monique Shore, and Grinnell College students, Hemlock Stanier, Libby Eggert, and Evie Caperton. Parking at the cemetery is limited, so a shuttle from the Joe Rosenfield '25 Center (on the Grinnell College campus) to Hazelwood Cemetery will run from 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. The rain date is Sept. 24, 1 – 4 p.m.
