The BGM Wrestling Program recently honored long-time volunteer Nate Hopwood with a photo canvas for his commitment to the youth wrestlers at BGM. The photo canvas features photos showing Hopwood in action coaching BGM wrestlers. The words “A Good Coach can change a match, but a great coach changes lives! Thanks for everything Coach Hopwood” is etched into the wood. BGM Varsity Wrestling Coach Dalton Roberts presented the photo canvas to Hopwood following the BGM Duels on Thursday, Jan. 9. “We appreciate all his hard work and commitment to the kids and willingness to jump in and help with the wrestling program,” said Roberts. “He does a lot for us.” Hopwood started coaching youth wrestlers in 2002. He has helped with the varsity wrestling program for seven years. And he also helps coach the BGM girls’ varsity team. “I’m very appreciative,” said Hopwood. “I love spending time with the kids.”
