As part of Brooklyn’s 175th Celebration & Flag Festival, we’re bringing you an incredible concert featuring Iowa’s Own Pork Tornados, with opener Tyler Richton & The High Bank Boys!

An Electronic Recycling Event is slated for Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at 2021 6th Ave.(the old Bayer Crop Science site), Grinnell. Items accepted include: cell phones, computer monitors, external hard drives, fax machines, gaming consoles, household batteries, keyboards, laptops, personal computers, printers, rechargeable battery-powered equipment, stereos, speakers, scanners, tables, televisions and VCRs. Unacceptable items include: large appliances, tires, motors, light bulbs and ballasts.

        On Saturday, April 26, the Grinnell Historical Museum is hosting a Museum Sneak Peak from 10 a.m. - 12 noon at the museum's new building at 703 1st Ave. You've seen behind the scenes photos of our progress, but now you have the opportunity to see it in person! Join us on April 26 from 10am - Noon for a sneak peek at our new museum space. Board members will be on hand to answer questions and show visitors around.

        The Grinnell High School Curtain Club and Thespians present, “Murder on the Orient Express,” April 11, 12 and 13 in the school auditorium.
         The play is under the direction of Holly and Adam Kelley-Chown with Ken Phipps serving as the technical director.
          On-line tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door.
Show Synopsis
         Murder on the Orient Express is a stage adaptation of Agatha Christie's famous detective novel. The play follows the legendary detective Hercule Poirot as he investigates a murder aboard the luxurious train, the Orient Express. The victim, Samuel Ratchett, is an American businessman who was stabbed multiple times in his compartment. As Poirot questions the passengers, he uncovers a complex web of secrets, motives, and hidden connections.
         Adopted for the stage by Ken Ludwig. “Agatha Christine’s Murder on the Orient Express” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.
